MY ARTISTIC APPROACH
My paintings resemble photographic images, and the textures I employ are akin to the grain found in the black-and-white photographs I used to develop in my darkroom. Naturally, I have incorporated color into them—though frequently, it is rendered in subtle nuances.
I explore the theme of houses because they are simple masses that are easy to situate within a space. The textures, in turn, serve to limit the level of detail. My focus, therefore, lies on the space—the void that sometimes fills the canvas.
